Morgan was introduced to dance at the age of 3. She later studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Lyrical as a competitive dancer in Salt Lake City, UT before moving to Las Vegas. She continued her training at Studio One, Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre and Tara Foy’s Dance Center with Ballet as her primary focus. Morgan studied with respected teachers in the Las Vegas area, including Inez Mourning, Tara Foy, Ella Gourkova and Monica Rostamian. Morgan also majored in Dance at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and was awarded leading roles in school productions. She performed in numerous ballets as part of Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Youth Company, including Nutcracker as part of a traveling company. Morgan was awarded a scholarship for Tara Foy’s Elite Ballet Summer Intensive and also attended Long Beach Ballet’s Summer Intensive where she took classes with Company Artistic Director, David Wilcox, and ballet legend, Gelsey Kirkland.
Morgan’s love for teaching began in high school when she was given opportunities to choreograph dances and lead her peers. She majored in Dance Education at Brigham Young University and began instructing youth in Utah and Nevada. Her strong attention to detail and emphasis on proper alignment gives dancers the tools to succeed not only in her ballet classes but in all styles of dance. Morgan is a talented choreographer and dedicated teacher. With a positive and energetic attitude she challenges students, enabling them to gain confidence through consistent, hard work.
